Things to Do
Talk a stroll along one of the country’s longest continuous sidewalks on Bayshore Boulevard. The 4.5-mile stretch provides stunning views of Tampa Bay, with some of the most beautiful homes along the water and views of historic Old Hyde Park. The sidewalk is 10 feet wide and runs from the Columbus Statue Park to Gany Boulevard.
Ballast Point Park features a 600-foot pier, splash pad, dozens of picnic tables, and a boat ramp and dock. Situated along the water, the gazebo is available to rent for events, and the park also features the Joe Abrahams Fitness and Wellness Center. Another beautiful park is Picnic Island Park, a South Tampa hidden gem along the water with sandy beaches, a playground, a sand volleyball court, and a disc golf course. Bring your pup to enjoy the dog beach right off the pier, and finish the afternoon with a picnic among the many available tables or opt for a spot along the beach.
The Palma Ceia Golf & Country Club was founded in 1916. It’s Tampa’s oldest private golf club and has hosted the Gasparilla Invitational since 1956.
