For modern and fresh Italian food, visit Cena, an upscale restaurant located in the Grand Central building in the heart of downtown. Featuring traditional dishes made with local ingredients by Chef Michael Buttacavoli, Cena is all about providing Tampa residents with the ultimate experience. Try the octopus salad, shrimp, and scallop risotto, or the spinach farfalletti pasta with truffle pecorino and grilled artichokes.
CW’s Gin Joint exudes style. Carolyn Wilson sought to bring back the days when fine spirits were revered in an atmosphere that welcomed class, style, and gentility, so she opened CW’s Gin Joint to offer Tampa residents a unique experience. Their intriguing motto, “where style and grace have an attitude,” attracts customers and leaves them coming back for more after sampling the delectable menu with impressive libations. The goal of CW’s is to make each visit feel like you’re taking a sip of the best drink you’ve ever tasted — and you just might find it on the menu. Clever names accompany a creative beverage list, and the food provides tasteful and artfully curated selections, like sherry lemon chicken, raw oysters, and a chocolate pretzel bread pudding for dessert.
The Florida Aquarium is a great place for an adventure! Fun for the whole family, the aquarium is home to hundreds of sea creatures and terrestrial animals like river otters, aquatic birds, stingrays, jellyfish, eels, lemurs, and sea turtles, each living in their own specially designed habitat. The mission of the aquarium is to bring conservation awareness to residents and tourists and inspire people to take positive action towards saving our ecosystems. Sign up for a workshop, join a summer camp, or adopt an animal to support the efforts of the aquarium.
